From the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, Nanang has been painting since early adolescence. He is inspired by the brilliant colors and shapes of his native island. Historically a Dutch colony, Sulawesi is known for beautiful surroundings including mountains, beaches, flowers, and coral reefs. The flowers painted by Nanang express depth and vision and "pop" from the canvas.
